Adding a Fundraising Source Code to an Appeal

Adding a source code to an appeal is very similar to adding a campaign to an appeal.

To add a source code to an appeal, complete the following steps:

  1. Follow the steps outlined in the Adding an Appeal to a Campaign online help topic to add an appeal to your campaign.
  2. Click the Appeal tab on the campaign profile to view the Appeal child form.
  3. Expand the Appeal child form to view the list of appeals added to the campaign.
  4. Click the GoTo icon next to the appeal name of the appeal to which you will be adding the source code. This will open the appeal profile page.
  5. Click the Source Code button located on the appeal profile page. This will open the Source Code pop-up window.
  6.

  1. Click the Generate New checkbox if it is not selected.
  2. The source code name in the Source Code field is auto-generated.
  3. You may also edit the name in the Source Code field in order to make the source code easier to find in a list and easier to remember what its purpose is/was.

  4. Enter the text that will be hyperlinked in the email to take the recipient to the Donate Now page for the appeal in the Link Text field.
  5.

  6. Click the Save button.
  7. The appeal profile will update and display the newly added source code.
