Event Details

The Event Details tabs that are accessed through either the Upcoming Events or My Events link(s) on eWeb are now content-driven. This means that, if no content exists for the Event or Session that would normally be placed under one of these tabs, the tab itself will not appear with the exception of the Description tab which will always appear by default for both Event and Session.

Notice that for the sample Event below, for example, that tabs exist for Sponsors, Speakers, and Programs/Sessions in addition to the Description tab which will always appear as noted. The tabs appear because data for each have been set-up for this Event.

In addition to data for each Event tab being set-up to display the tabs, in certain cases such as Speakers and Sponsors, the Additional Information section of the Event Profile (highlighted in the image below) must also be enabled to display the information online before the tabs will display.

In these cases, the Post Speaker Info Online check box for each tab and its corresponding data must also be selected before the description and tab itself will appear on the Event Details screen.

If this check box is not enabled along with the session data itself created, the tabs will not display when Event Details are accessed on eWeb.

Note: A description is not necessary (as displayed in the image above) but the Show Online check box must be selected before the Speaker tab and corresponding Speaker data is displayed.

This is demonstrated in the image below when an individual session is accessed in the example. No additional data has been entered and so only the default Description tab is present along with the ability to return to the original Event.
