Linking an Event Registration Confirmation Template to an Event

You can set up a correspondence template so that when someone registers for an event, an e-mail is sent to the registrant to reassure them that they were successfully registered. The e-mail may provide other details, for example, the time and place of the event. The template is associated with the event when you create the Events Profile, or, after you set up the event, by editing the Events Profile information (shown below).

Templates are stored in the system and can be re-used. (You can copy an existing correspondence template to create the template.

Note: When you create the template, it is essential to select Event Registrant as the Recipient Type. View Creating an Event Registrant Confirmation Template for more information.

To link the Confirmation Template with the Event:

  1. Go to the Event Profile.
  2. From the Edit menu drop-down, click the Edit Event Information hyperlink.

  1. On the Event Information page, select the template from the Confirmation Template drop-down list.
  2. To view or edit the template, click the edit icon next to the Confirmation Template.
  3. If you make changes to the Message Template, click Save.
