Selecting the Customer Type for a Member Type

When you set up a Member Type, you can specify whether the membership is only for individuals, only for organizations, or for both individuals and organizations.

When adding the Member Type:

• To specify that the membership is only for individuals select Individual from the Customer Type drop-down list.
• To specify that the membership is only for organizations, select Organization from the Customer Type drop-down list.
• To specify that the membership is for both individuals and organizations, select All from the Customer Type drop-down list.

Note: If you select Organization for the Customer Type, only the Primary Contact person for the organization will be able to purchase the membership for the organization online.

The Customer Type for the membership shows on the Member Type Profile next to Valid For. (e.g., Valid for: All Memberships)
