Selling a Membership for Next Year

You can set up a Calendar Based Membership so that a membership can be sold for the next year, after a specific month and day. When you set up a new Member Type, selecting the Calendar Based check box causes the Sell for next year after month and Sell for next year after day fields to display.

To set up the Sell for Next Year functionality:

1. Select the month that customers can begin to purchase this member type for the next calendar year in the Sell for next year after month field.
2. Select the day of the month that customers can begin to purchase this member type for the next calendar year in the Sell for next year after day field.
3. Click Save.

In the example below, if a customer purchases the membership on or before 10/1, the membership effective date and expiration date would be for the current year. If the customer purchases the membership after 10/1, the membership effective date and expiration date would be for the following year.
