Renewing an Individual Membership

Renew an individual's membership from the Membership Renewal form. The Membership Renewal form can be accessed from either the Member Profile or the Individual Profile, Membership Information Edit form.

To renew a membership from the Individual Profile:

  1. Navigate to the Individual Profile.
  2. Click the Membership child form tab.
  3. Expand the Membership child form.
  4. Click the GoTo arrow next to the membership you wish to renew.  This opens the membership profile page.
  5. Click the Renew Membership   button to open the Membership Renewal pop-up window.

  1. Expand the Renewal Member Type drop-down menu and select the Renewal Member Type.
  2. Expand the Default Renewal Dues Rate drop-down menu and select the default dues rate to be applied. Dues rates display in descending order and can be manually sorted.
  1. Select the Default Address Billing Type drop-down which specifies which address the membership will use by default. If this address is not specified, the Primary address used in CRM will be used.
  1. Select what the Member Status should be for the membership once it has been renewed in the Member Status After Renew drop-down.

  1. In the Schedule drop-down, you may choose to schedule this renewal for an upcoming future time or have it run immediately.  Your choices are:
    • Blank (leaving the selection blank will immediately include this record to be renewed  .)

    • Today

    • Tonight

    • End of Week

    • End of Month

Note: The "Immediately" membership renewal scheduling option is designed for special "one-off" circumstances and is not an available option when processing a batch of renewals or through the bulk renewal process. This scheduling option is also available when renewing subscriptions.

  1. You may also request up to four Donations when processing the renewal by using the Donation drop-down and subsequent associated Donation Price. Note that this option will not be available if you choose the Create Invoice check-box, since this is an optional donation request and the customer is not automatically invoiced for the Donation.

  2. Click Renew Membership. Depending on the selection in the Schedule field, you will receive a confirmation message either stating the renewal was successful or that it was scheduled to be run.

Once the membership has been renewed, you will need to add a payment using the Shopping Cart.
