Changing Subscription Status Using a Batch Process

Users have the ability to Change Subscription Status through the Accounting or CRM modules using a process that is very similar to the Change Membership Status process. This enables you to change subscription status in bulk.  For example, you could set your Initial Status to Pending and then, every month after fulfillment is complete; change all recent purchases to Active. It is also a method for changing status to expired or terminated should it be needed.

To change subscription status for more than one subscriber at a time, complete the following steps:

  1. Click the Accounting hyperlink on the Module Menu to launch the Accounting module.
  2. Click the Subscription Actions group item to display a list of available actions.
  3. Click the Change Subscription Status hyperlink to open the Subscription Status Change pop-up window.

  1. Enter the date range of the subscriptions whose status you wish to change in the Expire From and the Expire Through fields.
  2. Expand the Subscription Type drop-down menu and select the subscription to be queried in this process.
  3. Expand the Fees Rate drop-down menu and select the Fees Rate to be used in this query.
  4. Expand the Current Subscription drop-down menu and select the current subscription status for the subscriptions you are interested in processing.
  5. Expand the New Subscription Status drop-down menu and select the status the subscriptions processed will be transferred to after the process completes.

  1. Click the Search Selection button.
  2. Subscriptions matching your search criteria will be returned. By default, each subscription listed will have their check box checked. This means that when the process is run, this subscription will be processed.

  1. Click the check box next to each subscription you do not wish to process.

  1. Click the Process Selection button. The process will complete.

The Subscription Status is updated on the Subscriber Profile and the Individual Profile > Subscriptions Tab > Current Subscriptions child form.

Note: Changing the Subscription Status does not modify the Subscription dates.

The Original Date field is used to provide a history of the Subscriber’s subscription(s) and will never change.

The Start Date will continue to be indicative of the start date of the current Subscription and will be updated accordingly.
