Confirming the Status of Your PayPal Account or Transactions

Account Status

To confirm the status of your account or a transaction:

Go to https://manager.paypal.com and log in to PayPal Manager. One of the following messages will display depending on your account:

  • For live, active accounts: "Your account is active. You are able to run both test and live transactions."
  • For test accounts, "Click Here to ACTIVATE" button.

Transaction Status

To find the status of a transaction or a group of transactions, view the following reports.

Daily Activity Report

The Daily Activity report shows general response information for transactions on a given day. Run either a test or a live transaction from your web site or application.

  1. Go to https://manager.paypal.com and log in to PayPal Manager.
  2. Select Reports.
  3. Select Daily Activity Report.
  4. Submit a search using the current date.
  5. Confirm that your transactions are within the range of the search results and that the result code is zero indicating a successful transaction.

If you need additional information, click the transaction ID from the displayed transaction to display full details.

Batch ID Report

The Batch ID report shows the transactions that have settled with your processor on a given day.

  1. Go to https://manager.paypal.com and log in to PayPal Manager.
  2. Select Reports
  3. Select Batch ID Report.
  4. Select the report type, either Summary Batch Report or Batch Summary by Card Type Report.
  5. Select the settled date range of the transaction(s).
  6. Select HTML or ASCII for type of display.
  7. Click Submit.

For a detailed listing of the transactions that are included in the batch summary amount report, click either the HTML or the ASCII link under the Batch ID column. All transactions displayed on the report have settled.
