Requiring a User to Log in for Web Page Access

On the Content tab of the Web Site Editor, for added security, you can require a user to log in before they can access a specific Web page.

Note: You can also add security to a Web Section from the Web Site Content directory tree.

To require a user to log in before accessing a specific Web page:

  1. Go to the Web Site module.

  2. On the group items bar, click Web Site Editor.

  3. Select the Content tab.

  4. To add security to a Web page, expand the section list that contains the Web page and click the Edit Page icon.

  5. From the Web Page Information window, you can select the Require Login check box to require users to login in order to access the page. This means that the user must be logged-in before the page may be accessed. If the Require Login checkbox is disabled and has already been selected, this may mean that the entire section has been set to require login. You may disable this to specify that only certain pages may require log-in (as opposed to the entire section) as described in this topic. View: Requiring a User to Login for Web Section Access.

Require Log-In:  Once checked, the Require Log-In icon will appear next to the section or page in the Content tree.
